More Mini Christmas Cards

A few more mini Christmas cards. These use Pink Petticoat papers printed really small and Woodware stamped sentiments and images. Seems to me these little cards take just as long to make as big ones, but I guess it's still cost effective because you use less materials.

Candy Coloured Christmas

A few more mini Christmas cards to add to the pile. These are 8 x 10cm and the images, papers and sentiments come from various Pink Petticoat kits. Wish now that I'd used Stickles instead of Glossy Accents on the baubles, oh well.

Batch Christmas Cards

 

Been adding to my Christmas card pile with these quick and easy cards. The images are from Pink Petticoat. I tend to make mostly small Christmas cards to keep the costs down. These are 10cm square. Although I did these over a couple of evenings, you could easily make all eight in one evening.

Think I like the blue ones better than the purple. What do you think?

Cards for No Reason

Sometimes I feel like the only cards I get time to make are my DT ones and that there's no time just to play. These two cards were made just to play with making some oversized flowers. I saw a really fab flower when I was browsing through the entries of last week's Shabby Tea Room challenge and tried to recreate it. I haven't really succeeded so I have an excuse to keep on playing.

The first card, which for some reason I don't like too much, uses Papermania paper on SU vanilla card stock. The largest and smallest flowers were cut using the Woodware punches and the inbetween ones were cut on the Cricut. They're not quite inbetween enough which is perhaps why I don't like it. The second card, which I love, uses Pink Petticoat Vintage Rose papers. The flower is cut on the Cricut and is also made using SU vanilla card stock. I actually made the flower for the first card but as it turned out peachy it didn't go. Both cards were made somewhat shabby by distressing and inking the edges. Hope you like.

Friday Sketchers/Colour Create

I'd been meaning to play the Colour Create colours (burnt orange, black and cream) and was looking around for a suitable layout for my Pink Petticoat Lola when I saw this week's sketch on Friday Sketchers. I instantly had a card in my head which translated perfectly onto paper. I really like this sketch so you'll be seeing a bit more of it. I'm also entering this into the Dare you to Digi challenge which was flowers. My papers are by Penny Springman from the Sweet Shoppe. Enjoy your weekend.

Anyone for Anya - Lotsa Layers

This week at Anyone for Anya the challenge is Losta Layers. Basically we want to see some dimension on your cards. So you could decoupage part of your image or part of the paper, or you could just layer up your papers. How you interpret it is up to you and as long as it isn't just a flat piece of work, then that is fine. As you can see I've gone for layers of papers and on my flowers. There's a fab stamp set up for grabs this week so why not join in?

Couple of Cards

I've been trying to tidy up my crafting space this week but in some ways it's worse now than when I started - no space at all on the desk! Anyway I've still managed to make a couple of cards. The first one uses one of the fab new Lola images from Pink Petticoat. Have to say I bought a few ;) Papers are by the Shabby Princess.

For this next card I've used Pink Petticoat papers and a sweet Pollycraft image I've had for ages but never used. I've followed (kinda) the sketch from the Papertake Challenge. I do like Dawny's sketches - simple yet effective. TFL.

My First Attempts With Copics

I finally bought myself a few Copic markers. I spent Sunday morning watching video tutorials on YouTube and then had a go. I've only got the Ciao skin tone set so my colour choices were quite limited but I found them really easy to use.

The bear is a Pink Petticoat digistamp. I didn't have any paper that really matched the pink hence the relatively clean and simple card. I'm entering this one to the Cute Card Thursday Eye Eye challenge. The papers on the Miss Anya card are from the Take My Breath Away set of digikits by Sweet Digi Scraps.

I only got a few Copics because I wasn't sure I'd get on with them, now I just need to buy myself a load more colours ;).
