On my mind

While my sewing machine was still out, I thought I do another card using the Digichick Girlfriend papers. No sketch this time but I was inspired by a card I saw on SCS. The layout or sketch is nearly always the first thing I decide on when I'm making a card.  Where do you start?

Here's a close up of the flower.

Here's the bits I used to make it.

Sometimes I wake in the middle of the night with an idea so by the light of the phone I make a quick note, sometimes the card happens from here but then othertimes it happens when I'm tidying away and gathering up disgarded pieces of stash,A card just springs to mind and before I know it I've got not only a whole new pile to tidy away but also a card made. I love all that stitching,I keep promising myself that I'm going to get my machine out more! Have a great week,Julie.x

Very gorgeous Julie. Love the flower!

I usually start by picking my papers or colour scheme and colour an image to match. My card hardly ever turns out like my initial idea. I change my mind a lot as I go along, and faff about! xx Jenny xx

I don't think I've seen such a fabulous array of handmade blooms in one place before. Wow! Needless to say I have enjoyed my visit here immensely!
