Couple of Cards - the same but different

I saw the card above in the UK edition of Cards Magazine and really liked it. Great colours and a nice, simple layout. Apologies for the funny angle but it's one of those mags that doesn't stay open on it's own. Anyhow I thought I'd make my own version of it which you can see below. If I were doing it again I'd make the plain background strip a stronger colour but I'm still quite pleased with it.

I then remembered this Stamping Bella image languishing in my stamp collection and thought I could use the same layout and punches to turn it into a wedding card. I think it's really interesting how one basic idea can turn into completely different cards. This is the one I like best but then I think I have a thing about monochromatic textured cards. You can let me know which is your favourite.
