Inspired by Mainly Flowers

Been experimenting with creating some no tools flowers as demonstrated by Joanne on her Mainly Flowers blog. Mine's not quite a no tools flower because I used a template from Craftwork Cards to create the petals and the small centre flower is a sizzix die. The sentiments on both cards are from a set by Paper Inspirations.

This one was inspired by Joanne's poinsettia but I was a bit too lazy to do all that veining and used my paper ribbler instead. Doesn't look too much like a poinsettia but I think it's quite a nice flower. Normally when I create flowers I curl the petals down as I think they go through the postal system with less damage. Would welcome any ideas about how to package this so it doesn't flatten in posting. I know I could make a box but when you're trying to sell cards a box adds significantly to the cost.

Those are stunning, love the the detail and the simplicity, and also LOVE the sentiments!

What about using some bits of bubble wrap in the places on the card that are not built up?

Soooo stunning and classy Julie. I do love your work, it is just total quality xxxx Why not make a sort of wrap out of cardboard to go round the card. It might stop it getting squashed xxxx

Lovely cards, I really love the white one, so crisp and clean. You could try putting a piece of bubble wrap on the side of the embellishment. It's light.

I usually make an envelobox on the ultimate companion, it's quick and easy to do but you would need a piece of card which I suppose would add to your costs. I visit your blog regularly and just love your cards, they are always so classy and gorgeous. Wendy x
