SC&P 60 Freebies

Been reading more than I've been crafting just recently but here's a set of 10 very quick and easy cards I made using half the freebies from the last issue of Simply Cards and Papercrafts. As I expect I've told you before I don't generally like freebie papers 1. because they're usually ugly, 2. because they're too shiny and 3. because they're too flimsy. However I really liked the die cuts that came in the mag and if I'm honest these papers are quite pretty - still a bit shiny and way too flimsy for my liking but there you go. Although I made these over a few days the layouts are all pretty simple and I would say that an evening's solid crafing would see them all done. I had a few die cuts and lots of paper left over without even touching the blue and green set that was also included. We will use these at church to give out to people who visit us.

Hi Julie, these are fabulous, like you I don't usually like the freebies that come with magazines but you've certainly turned these into beautiful cards and all so amazingly different.

Such a cute set Julie and a great way to use up those freebies! I agree with you though and don't often use them as they are too shiny or ugly for my liking. My 10 year old neice is grateful for them though!

I have to agree about freebies from mags - they usually go in the kids craft box - they love em!! You've done a great job with these though Julie - they're all gorgeous.

Well done you Julie!

I never end up using my freebie papers, as like you, I always find them cheap and nasty - most go straight into the recycling.

But.... you have made these look fabulous! Totally gorgeous ~x~

These are fab Julie and I agree about the freebies. I rarely use them either, but this set was a little better than usual. I have used some on a summer card on my blog, but you have given me great ideas for what to do with the rest. Thankyou.

oooh fab cards, love the colours and layouts. I'm with you on freebie papers, but these are such a pretty design.

BTW, the digi papers I used on my Miss Anya card are from here http://www.scrapbookbytes.com/store/search.php?mode=search&page=1 . They were on sale last time I looked, apologies for not putting on the post, I was being lazy, hee hee!
