Couple of Challenge Cards

I created this card for yesterday's sketch challenge on Splitcoast Stampers and I have to say I don't really like it, I think it's a bit insipid. I do like the sketch though so I might try it again one of these days. The snowflake stamps, I've used for the backgrounds in this and the next card, I bought before Christmas last year but this is the first time I've used them.

I had a snowflake die on my shopping list when I went to Ally Pally last month but what with me humming and hawing over which one to get they'd sold out of the one I decided on by the time I'd finally made up my mind. So anyway I decided to cut this one out, mad I know. I realised it was a silly idea quite soon after I'd started specially with me being craft knife challenged and having to use scissors, but once I'd started I just couldn't make myself abandon it. Shame I don't really like the card after all that effort.

This card I'm much happier with. It's for the Papertake Weekly Challenge which features Katharina's Sketch 13. It's a great sketch and the card came together really easily. The snowman and the peace circle are by The Angel Company. If I hadn't been trying to keep to the sketch I probably wouldn't have added the crystals. The photo doesn't really show how lovely and sparkly it is. ttfn and tfl.
